Cinematic slideshow
Ken Burns motion and photo stacks turn a folder of pictures into something worth watching. Controls fade away when you are not using them.
The family photo frame that organises
familyTV turns your TV into a living photo frame, and your phone into the remote that sorts it all. Mark favourites with a heart, put them in categories, tag who is in them, then watch them on the big screen.
For Apple TV and iPhone. Google TV coming soon. No account needed.

Organise
The hidden gem of familyTV: while a photo is on the TV, you mark it as a favourite, file it in a category and tag the people in it, straight from your phone.
One tap on the heart, right when a photo makes you smile.
Holidays, birthdays, family or your own. A photo can live in several.
Add the people once and tag them with a tap.
Show
Your favourites, categories and people shape the slideshow. Play only favourite holidays, last year's birthdays, or every photo of Emma and Noah.
Combine favourites, categories and people into a slideshow in seconds.
Gentle motion, photo stacks and several slide styles.
A photo you favourite tonight is in tomorrow's slideshow.
Calm in the living room, powerful in your hands, and your photos stay yours.

Skip, favourite, categorise and tag from the couch, with the familyTV app on your iPhone.
Connect a WebDAV server, OneDrive or Google Drive. familyTV reads your photos in place and never asks you to upload them.
Favourites, categories and people live on your own devices. Want them on every device? Sync them with Cloud sharing.
Bring your own OpenAI-compatible service to add descriptions and a sharpness score to your photos.
Mix in HLS webcams, like a view of the beach or the mountains, between your family photos.
Point familyTV at a WebDAV folder, OneDrive or Google Drive, with read-only access.
Optional: scan the code on the TV with the familyTV app to use your iPhone as the remote. Pairing stays on your local network.

Switch on your TV and open familyTV on your Apple TV. You don't need a familyTV account.
Choose where your photos live and sign in. familyTV gets read-only access: it fetches your photos and never uploads or changes them.
Scan the code on the TV with the familyTV app to use your iPhone as the remote. You don't need this just to watch.
Organise your favourites from the couch while the slideshow plays.
familyTV only asks for read-only access to your photos, so it can never change or delete them. Your photos stay where they belong, and you don't need a familyTV account.
Yes. We only ask for read-only permissions, so your photos can't be changed or deleted by familyTV. Metadata is stored securely on your devices only. For syncing between devices, metadata can be synced using our Cloud sharing service.
Read-only access, nothing more. When you link Google Drive, Google's consent screen asks to view and download your files, and its standard wording also mentions the names of people you share with. That is how Google describes read access. familyTV only lists folders and downloads photos to show them. It never changes, uploads or deletes anything in your Drive, and your password is never shared with the TV.
Today the TV app runs on Apple TV and the phone remote, where you favourite and organise, runs on iPhone. Google TV, Android TV and Android phones are coming soon. See the Devices page for the full list.
Wherever you keep them today: a WebDAV server, OneDrive or Google Drive. familyTV streams from there and caches reduced copies on the TV.
An optional subscription, for Free and Premium, that shares your favourites, categories and people between households and devices. It syncs metadata only, never your photos, and includes 10,000 photos. Prefer no cloud? See the next question.
Yes, in two ways. Without any cloud: familyTV keeps tags in small files next to your photos, so you only need to share the folder (OneDrive, Google Drive or your NAS) and everyone sees them. Or with Cloud sharing, an optional subscription that syncs metadata between households. See the how-to guide.
No, it is off until you link the AI agent of your choice with an API address and token. You stay in control and your privacy is safeguarded: only the photos you choose (or new photos in auto mode) are sent, in reduced size, straight to your agent, never through us, and your token stays in the Keychain on your device.
The photo list and cached images are kept on the TV, so the slideshow keeps going when your connection drops.
Download is free. Compare Free and Premium on the Plans page; see the store listing for current prices.
